Our Purpose

The overall goal of the Louisiana Youth Conference is rooted in spiritual and personal development for the next generation. Our purpose is to:

  • Motivate Youth to be faithful, loyal, and true to the work of the Church.

  • Guide Youth in the right direction to lead to strong leadership for the cause of Christ.

  • Encourage Association with other youth and individuals from different geographical areas who share the same interests to build lifelong friendships and relationships.

  • Offer Self-Expression by giving our youth the privilege and opportunity of self-expression in a safe-spiritual environment.

  • Promote Collaboration by giving youth an opportunity to work together, exhibiting their personal worth, abilities, and God-given talents.

  • Inspire Educational Futures by giving youth the opportunity to experience college campuses as a possibility for their future education.

Our Mission
Our mission is to equip Christian youth as soldiers in God's army—the future of the Church—by fostering spiritual growth, encouraging the use of their God-given talents, and providing a powerful, safe environment for fellowship and learning the principles of Christ.
Our Vision
To be the preeminent statewide event that fortifies the faith of Christian teens, develops them into strong, Christ-centered leaders, and creates a thriving, interconnected community of faithful young people prepared for their educational and spiritual journey.

What to Expect at the LYC Experience

The Louisiana Youth Conference (LYC) is a full weekend devoted to equipping our youth and giving them opportunities to fellowship, express themselves, and grow spiritually.

Spiritual Nurturing and Instruction

Every LYC is focused on strengthening our youth’s spiritual foundation. Attendees can expect a dedicated structure for growth, including:

  • Grade-Level Workshops

  • Daily Devotions and Worship Services

  • Classrooms based on the National Theme, separated by age groups

  • Teaching of Godly Principles such as Love, Faith, Hope, Repentance, Baptism, and Restoration are always available

Talent Expression and Fellowship

The conference provides a platform for youth to express their individual God-given talents and interests in a safe, spiritual environment. Activities include:

  • Gospel Concerts

  • Talent Show and Roll Call by Congregations

  • The LYC Pageant (Winners represent the State of Louisiana at the National Conference)

  • Fellowship with peers from across the State of Louisiana

  • Team Building Activities

  • Athletics

Educational and Leadership Exposure

We provide opportunities that help guide youth toward strong leadership for the cause of Christ. This includes:

  • Experiencing College Campuses, which is often a possibility for their future education as the conference is frequently hosted at universities.

  • A Full Weekend devoted to youth, ensuring they can work together, exhibiting their personal worth and abilities.
